“What If” VLOG Series—Should I get a Termite Inspection?

South Carolina’s warm climate makes it the perfect place for termites to thrive and cause significant damages to homes.  Termites burrow into wood, and are often not detected when buyers walk through and around a home.  The standard real estate contract will require that a “Wood Infestation Report”,  aka a CL-100, be done for all real estate purchase transactions.  Lenders and certain types of loans (VA and FHA) will require a clear CL-100 and any issues listed on the report must be treated by the seller before the loan can go through.
